As we step into the summer season, we know that this time of year can bring unique challenges and triggers for individuals dealing with eating disorders or disordered eating. To provide support and guidance, we are pleased to announce our upcoming Lunch and Learn series dedicated to addressing these common triggers and offering some practical strategies to manage them.

We believe that with the right tools and support, you can navigate the summer season with greater ease and confidence. Our team is dedicated to helping you on your journey towards recovery or in sustaining your recovery, and we look forward to seeing you at our Lunch and Learn series!

Dates: Every Wednesday from July 31 – August 28, 2024

Time: 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM PST

Location: These sessions will be delivered virtually over zoom

Anyone 19+ who has or is struggling with an eating disorder or disordered eating can attend.

What to Expect:

Our Lunch and Learn Webinar Summer Series is designed to create a supportive and educational environment where you can gain valuable insights and tools to help navigate the summer season with confidence and resilience. Each session will be led by a Registered Clinical Counsellor with experience in the field of eating disorder treatment. 

There is no cost to attend! You can attend 1 session or all 5, depending on your availability and interest in the topics discussed. 

Each session will include a presentation on a specific trigger commonly experienced during the summer, and then some practical strategies to help you manage and address that trigger. There will then be time for some Q&A.

  • July 31: Navigating Warmer Weather, the Pressure to Be “Beach Ready”, and How to Build a Solid Support System 
  • August 7: Nourishing Well Alongside the Increase in Seasonal Physical Activities  
  • August 14: Finding Balance With Disrupted Routines & Making Self-Care a Priority   
  • August 21: Implementing Self-Compassion When Spending More Time With Family 
  • August 28: Navigating Food-Centric Gatherings & Finding Summer Activities That Support You!
